Back here on an anti-Meta spell to speak to the void and hide from socialization, because participating in society in the USA requires too much money confidence, and time, none of which I have anymore

It feels like we are having pandemic-trauma-buying all over again when the shelves for eggs are bare and empty at my local Costco. All they could re-stock on Friday before the weekend was quail eggs.

Leaving Meta platforms means my online existence gets pretty quiet and boring, as I suspect all the shallow acquaintances made online would hardly even notice. I suppose this is also what happens with any digital death.

@momok you learn to just unfollow and move on... Most people in the world just have a passing interest but there's no value in internet acquaintances if they don't reciprocate

New Meta / TikTok / X refugee here I suppose. Trying to figure out which platform(s) grow and which new ones die is going to be a confusing time.
