Someday someone (not me) will be able to explain how Usagi Yojimbo is so fucking good in a way that's more detailed than "It's just really fucking good, guys."
Now that I'm here, there is definitely one person I feel too bad to unfollow on the Bird Site, but their opinions are just so damn weird and deliberately posing that I'm still following for the trainwrecking.
I would say it's too early to have a "what is reality?" episode of Voyager, but the fact that it's about the Doctor makes it much more entertaining, because Picardo fucking rocks at keeping your interest with his acting choices AND gets better material than most of the other characters.
This episode opens with the Doctor being turned on and told the entire ship is empty, and it would have been so much better if his first response had been to turn on some party music and dance around in shutter shades.
And in the end, Chakotay has his ritual on the ship like he should have, but now he's made a frenemy. If only we cared.
Neelix having a "badass" conversational moment is sad because it's undercut by so much else, but proof that Ethan Phillips COULD be good at the job, he just got such bad material. And makeup. And costuming.
I want to say Aron Eisenberg is better than this episode, but really it's not anyone's fault that Chakotay has the dramatic potential of insulation but the writers.
I'm going to post about watching Voyager on here instead of Birdsite because the less I use it, the better.
