Political scientist in an EH/IR department. American in Sweden. All my friends are joining this. I just want to be cool and popular. Usually posts stuff about #rstats or cats.
Giving an IR lecture to first-year students on global governance, with a particular application to BIPM and the global governance of standard reference temperature (i.e. what became ISO 1). Proud of this meme.
For context, the first three it joined are these, in order. The Superior Council of Health is a pretty neat IGO for the time, and certainly given the nature of what it was trying to accomplish.
Gonna see how much I can get away with using the official government font of Sweden for Sweden-specific graphs in class.
Getting into the #rstats {ggplot2} theme-ing field for students. I don't see this done a lot in R packages, but the nature of R programming seems amenable to making functions that explain how to do things without resorting to a vignette or to Google.
{codename} is dabbling in the world of the U.S. NICKA system with the next update.
Getting into the {ggplot2} theme package game. I'm hoping this startup message is sufficiently informative. The difficulty is moving from "this works for me" to "this has to be CRAN-compliant, under 5 MB, and be easy enough for everyone."
