Fantails are certainly some of the most fittingly-named birds I know. They seem almost brash around people - when one is nearby, they will nearly always let you know by putting on a show!

When I first spotted these birds, I took them for juvenile Crimson Rosellas, but I later learned that this coloration is actually indicative of the Adelaide Rosella, a hybrid of the Yellow and Crimson Rosella species.
