So.. Dear user. Tell me, what you thโ€‹ink and feel about this, huh? I'd appreciate any thoughtful response, advice, or even just solidarity. I'm also happy to answer any questions
I think the main problem is that we're making up our society out of random people who find themselves there not by choice in the global sense, but by work/study/housing, and so on. Meanwhile, people with more specific needs have naturally no chances of finding each other, even online. We need a tool to help us build our society from people who want to be there just as much as we do, rather than relying on luck and the hope that someone who shares your values โ€‹โ€‹will pop up among a random crowd
As for online communication, In Matrix or Mastodon i still can't find any cozy communities for genuine conversations, for now. They're either focused on a narrow topic or are empty and inactive. From online games, I love Sky: Children of the Light, but I can't really engage random people there either for some reason
So.. Maybe you know what to do about this? I sometimes go to hobby groups, but almost always the people there are significantly older than me, which is why I often encounter ageism and sexism, and others simply aren't interested in me enough to take initiative. Sometimes people do, but it manifests itself through manipulation - their initiative isn't based on interest in me as a person; they only want the resources I can provide
Let me add some context. I don't have problems with socialization or self-esteem, but I am somewhat different from most of the people I know. I could be called weird in a global sense, but no one would use that word because I always make a sufficient effort to make sure others understand me despite our difference. Most people understand me, but only to the extent that they themselfs are willing to. And the problem isn't that they can't understand me, it's that they don't want to, don't need to
So why only few of them can answer the question "What are you feeling?" or "What are you thinking?"? Nah bro, I'm not interested in discussing e-cigarettes, I just want to learn more about what you find important, valuable, or at least relevant to you, dummy!
But! There is a problem. I'veโ€‹ been living for about 20 years alreadyโ€‹ and here's what I've learned during this time: humans can't speak. Or don't want to. Or don't know how? Language is almostโ€‹ the only tool that allows you to convert your personal experience into a format understandable to others!
What? You want to share your perception of the world with me?? And you're interested in knowing how I perceive it??? Oh hell yea!!!! โ€‹Just give me a second to come up with the most beautiful walking route onโ€‹ whole this planet while we talkโ€‹!
This raises the question: if between the beginning and the end of existence the only thing that matters is how we feel and think about the world around us, then why the hell doesnโ€™t anyone make this a priority? Every person literally reflects our own personality, but alternative one, isn't that why a person is interesting to a person?
The personality simply appears from the void after 14 billion years of nonexistence and has approximately 70 years to sort out everything around it before disappearing back into the void, this time forever. We are all born roughly identical in our uniqueness - we process information and respond to it with feelings in roughly the same way (compared to other organisms), and yet, each person is unique due to the uniqueness of personal experience and, therefore, perception
