@caseyliss You can do Matter over wifi or Matter over thread. If you do Wifi, then you don't need a radio, but if your device is matter over thread, you will need a radio and configure:
1. Install Open Thread Border Router
1. Thread on HA to join existing Apple Thread Network
All a PITA. I used to run my HA on docker, but bought a NUC and now run HAOS with add-ons. It does make things easier and independent of any Synology issues.
