Very sad that people are getting laid off from the Jaguar Land Rover cyberattack. Looks like it’s likely ransomware.
It’s been apparent for a while this could happen. When I used to run teams at a major backup product this was what we always were trying to protect our customers from. Unfortunately this is going to keep happening and backup isn’t cheap or easy to get right. Hopefully the predicted attacks on utility companies don’t happen.
