I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my JJY-synced clocks are 70 seconds slow (but exactly in sync with each other). Turns out my iPhone (and watch) has had the wrong time for who knows how long because “set automatically” was turned off.

TIL people in the UK and Australia say battery-powered things are "flat" when the battery is dead (e.g. "my phone is flat" — just one indefinite article short of saying my phone is an apartment).

@paul A friend bought me one from Infinite Loop that I used for a decade before the handle broke off in a dishwasher incident. Glued it back on and now it’s a lovely pencil holder…you can always fall back on that!
