I've been playing a lot of Monolith for the past few days and I'd highly recommend it if you like Shmups or Rougelikes.

It's a twin stick (or mouse and keyboard) top down shooter where you explore clever little random dungeons and fight monsters. It rewards skilful play but it's too hardcore to shut out people who haven't been playing arcade games 24/7 for years.
