@SuitedUpDev The only tricky part is sticking to a work (+workout) routine, especially when you plan to move around a bunch.
It's really hard to sit down and focus enough hours everyday when there is so much to explore and everyone else around you seems to be on a permanent vacation.
I certainly went a bit too much party and too little work the first year or two.
@outofcontrol I have a client that loves sending content changes as screenshots of word documents sometimes, so this function has come in handy a bunch of times. 😅
@joshuablum erinnert mich ans Straßenverkehrsamt in Essen. Um fünf anstellen, um sieben geht die Tür auf und man darf sich um die Tickets kloppen. Wenn es doch nur sowas wie das Internet gäbe.
@SuitedUpDev decided to „work and travel a bit“ in 2018. Never went back to Germany, now living in Thailand. Definitely liked the change. 👍🏻
@SuitedUpDev Better be careful, it becomes addicting quickly!
@dakira thanks for the tip! Quick question from someone new to mastodon: would there be any benefit to moving to a server where a lot of people I follow are?
@grmpyprogrammer Good one! I had heard about this one before. One of the shops even delivers to Thailand, so I'll add that to my reading list. Thanks :)
@syntaxseed Yeah, I've considered doing just that with books that are only available as e-books, such as the collected works by Spatie. Still prefer a proper book feeling though.
I have so many work related e-books but simply hate reading long form on a screen. So I’ve moved to buying printed copies again where available.
Any books (development related) you highly recommend that are also available on dead trees?
