I’m such an idiot, I’ve figured it out.
I still follow some accounts on Twitter that I’ve stopped following here. I’m periodically running FediFinder to find accounts for people I follow on Twitter. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Ok. Having no problem following accounts but I do seem to have issues unfollowing people on this instance. I click unfollow in the app or web, but I still see toots periodically appear in my timeline. 🤔

Any ideas from anyone on what I can check?

I find it odd how frequently leadership and HR lie when there appears to be little to no upside and a fairly large downside.

E.g., the recent FB layoffs. I was chatting with a friend of mine who's a very senior IC about the layoffs there and his read is that the worst thing about the layoffs was the misleading messaging from the company leading up to the layoffs in way that seems likely to permanently reduce trust in future leadership and HR messaging.

The entire social media industry is done. Every social media agency is obsolete.

Every piece of advice you ever received at a social media conference or event -- now worthless!
