A little sad, really. I’ve had this account for probably 18 years or so. I was pretty early on the platform, but whatever. It’s not the same and will never be again. Eat shit Elon. I stopped using it two years ago and deleted all my stuff, but hesitated pulling the plug completely because what if someone stole my name or he lost interest and sold it and it went back to what it was? And I’m back! 3 days without power and 5 days without internet. The remnants of Helene hit Cincinnati on Friday and knocked out power to 130k other people.

I had a large branch fall and sever both the power supply line and fiber optic cable from the utility pole to my house. Luckily no one was injured, nor was there any major damage to my or my neighbors house.

My failover internet solution arrives tomorrow. Backup power will require more thought and $$$ than I can deal with right now. 🤷‍♂️🙃🫠
