someone said I must have internalized ableism because I'm against using AI as assistive tech to create art. Let me be clear: the planet killing plagiarism machine IS NOT assistive tech - IT IS PLAGIARISM. 3 of my books have been stolen by Gen AI (and many of my friends have had their books stolen too) so you're not writing your book, you're writing someone else's book. Assistive tech is supposed to help you do the creating - it is not supposed to help you copy someone else's hard work
Happy international cat day from my clowder to yours ❤️ here is some awkward and intense eye contact to get you through the day
#catsI think one of the reasons I'm so prone to burn out is a) I feel the need to do EVERYTHING because I never feels like I'm doing enough, and b) I LOVE what I do and get so excited I can't stop saying "yes" to things and planning ahead. Definitely need to force myself to take afternoons off over the next few months because I DO NOT want to burn out again

I can assure you, we don't. Show up to an art market and I guarantee most of the vendors will be disabled and/or neurodivergent. Also, disabled artists have existed for so so SO much longer than AI has. Get your head out of your ass
As a self-published author, I have one parent who sees how much I do, how hard I work, and supports me without question. And I have another parent who does not keep up with what I do, thinks I spend my whole work day daydreaming and that I need to be sent extra tasks every so often to keep me busy 🙃
Got chatting with someone at a market this weekend and found out they're "writing" a book. I would have supported them, but they revealed they used AI. Their reasoning? AI isn't going away so they should embrace it, and they aren't good with grammar and needed the extra help. They didn't even seem to care when I told them that gen AI is theft and that I know for a fact that at least 3 of my books have been stolen.
So to this person pretending to be an author: I hope your book fails.
Me: I'm going to accomplish all my personal and professional goals this week 🙂
My chronic health issues: *Tim Robinson voice* You sure about that?

You All Wanted A Hospital Story... My July 2025 Writing Update - Stephanie Anne, Horror Author
It should be no surprise by now that I started the month with a trip to the ER. And although my doctor and I are still doing some detective work […]
Stephanie Anne, Horror AuthorGot a meeting today to discuss a potential belated book launch party 🤩
TBH with all the health stuff I've been dealing with this past month, I just wanted to publish "Modern Hauntings" without additional stress. But this potential venue might be able to help me throw the ✨perfect✨ launch party about a month after the release date. So if it happens, I'm determined to make this the easiest and least stressful party possible.
We're all sick. And our appointment with the Doctor is on August 23, 2025. Join the crew of "Modern Hauntings" on what could be their best - or last - paranormal investigation ever. Who will make it through the night?
