I wish there was a better phrase than "the straw that broke the camel's back." I've never used a camel to transport anything, much less straw.

"The soda can that knocked over the pile of recycling-Jenga?" Where the pile of trash is my life, and the soda can is my cat dying?

A new void to scream into? Don't mind if I do.

My wife finally caught Covid three days ago, despite us taking every reasonable precaution - vaccines, masks, avoiding restaurants, etc. She's sick, I'm isolating in our guest bedroom (still testing negative), and none of us are having a good time.
