My next backyard BYO meat/beer party!
Backyard gate opens at 3. Kids, dogs, people you only know from social media are welcome. DM for address if you don’t already have it.
No capybaras. Yet.
This survey will help us on the Advisory Committee set our priorities—our guiding principles—as we make some tough decisions. I learned long ago in community organizing and campaigns that you need to set these priorities ahead of time because things will get complicated and you need to remember your focus.

The District’s School Boundary and Student Assignment Study will make recommendations to the Mayor on how DC Public School boundaries and public/public charter school feeder patterns (where kids have enrollment rights to middle and high school) could be for the future.

If I hosted another BYO party on June 24, would you attend? And bring friends, in addition to your beer and meat?
I’m a very independent and strong person and I also appreciate the man who stopped me on my nighttime walk home to let me know that he was crossing the street and would be walking behind me for a bit, and he didn’t want me to be startled or think he was creeping.
My biggest professional achievement today was bringing together, in person, some disconnected teams with fraught feelings, facilitating a productive conversation, and cracking jokes. Mostly the jokes.
Anybody up for some tech support? Owen bought a game via Steam that is almost 100GB, far more than the available storage on his MB Air. We’ve been trying to install to a plenty-big SD card but running into issues around “not writeable.” Ideas?
