@F4LUB @M0YNG Here's a variant with the antenna symbol used in the electric schematics, but the vibe feels very... neonazi? Vertical is even worse :D

@F4LUB @M0YNG I think it works.

But I've also been using this email sig that, in retrospect, looked like many things ;-)

@kmgrant @daringfireball nobody ever mandated annoying popups, the industry just decided being massive dicks is better than giving users any privacy
What Is a Dickover?

dickover — a modal panel, popover, or curtain presented by a website or app, deliberately obscuring its own content to frustrate the user with an unwanted, unnecessary, mandatory interaction; e.g. asking the user to accept “cookies”, subscribe to a newsletter, install the website’s mobile app, agree to terms of service, or anything else that the user couldn’t give two shits about.

@ian I love the way water reflections look in this photo!

motoring - might have been technical, crew (training motor procedures?) or legal reasons 🤷. Or maybe they are cooking and don't want any list :-)

@K3LOE What happens after you throw was less obvious to me. You actually can adjust a lot.

This is a video from the climbing/arborist community I watched recently and it was really enlightening https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnDFXqMK3BA

Throwline techniques, tricks and tips by Josephine Hedger

@K3LOE Tip 1 is to not hit other people and that's about the only thing I consistently manage - I'm a newbie thrower myself :D

Actual throwing I feel is a matter of experience. For many trees I find great success going as close to vertical as I can throw, but not every tree will allow you to hang a sloper antenna with a rope thrown that way. It's more trees than I initially thought, especially if I'm throwing at trees someone manages, like in city parks.

My throw bag needed some repairs today. Got it from aliexpress for about $10 (sold as "pamyem" brand). It only took ~100 throws for it to end up like this. "fixed" it with some thread and silver tape, might last another 100 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@ian there's also HOTA here in SP, but it's hałda (heap) on the air :D https://hota.com.pl/
