@oscarfalcon @GrapheneOS They really only need to not block GrapheneOS via Google's play integrity or other flawed "security solutions". You can verify the authenticity of a GrapheneOS installation via the hardware attestation api, some banks have already done this and officially support GrapheneOS today. Others are sure to follow as the user base keeps growing and it becomes impossible to ignore.

Wie du schon erwähnt hast liegen die Meinungen teils weit auseinander, der eine mag es so und der nächste dann völlig anders. Da mischen wir uns lieber nicht zu stark ein! Wer bei den verschiedenen App-Stores den Überblick verliert darf ruhig mit dem Play Store anfangen und später, bei Bedarf, sich mit Alternativen auseinandersetzen.

Not everyone is necessarily acting in bad faith. Misunderstandings are bound to occur in this controversial field, yes from our side too. But I don’t believe you’re aware how many people fundamentally wish for us to fail, because our values oppose theirs.

I was hoping I could bring our standpoint on this matter closer to you but seeing as you are alluding to extraordinary dishonest content aimed at committing character assassination I’m not so sure you are open to that. We have great relationships with many content creators out there.

The point is, when these parties aren’t capable of acknowledging the downsides, when they can’t win on the technical front, they resort to personal attacks. We’re framed for things we’ve not done, chats and discussions are cherry picked to paint a wrong picture.

The problem is, not everyone wants a truthful playground. The amount of privacy conscious users is ever growing, and so is the potential to monetize them. It’s inevitable for some parties to grow resentment towards us because we show the masses that their offering, despite advertised as such, isn’t the yellow from the egg. I’m not saying this monetary motive applies to everyone, it's just one example.

People are of course free to use whatever they want at the end of the day – when the time comes to make a decision hopefully they will have learned something along the way that aids them in picking the best option.
