This good boy got diagnosed with diabetes earlier this year which has led to some rapidly developing cataracts. As his vision goes he's starting to bump into things, move slower and more carefully, and get (more) skittish when people enter rooms. It breaks me.

Waaay back around 1992, I had to read "A Good Man is Hard to Find" in school. It stuck with me and I always told myself I should try to read more Flannery O'Connor sometime. Never did. But I recently found this in the 50 cent bin at the book store! What a bargain!

Found Elon's inspiration for the Cybertruck. Charlie Sheen's 1986 movie The Wraith, in which an angel comes down from heaven to avenge his death by racing cars and then, I guess, takes his living girlfriend up to heaven?

Security definitely did a double take when it came out of the scanner.

Like a lot of other folks, I got a glimpse of the Northern Lights this week. My teens were freaking out. It's nice that with all our technology and access to knowledge that even teenagers can be awestruck by the awesomeness of the natural world.

When I was about a year old, my uncle had tickets to see Elvis. Unfortunately, The King left the building the day before. When we were cleaning out my grandmother's house last year, I found this in a cupboard over the stove. Not only does is it a cool bit of musical history, but with my uncle and grandparents all gone now, it's a sweet little momento.

Best thing I saw on my trip to Indianapolis? This painting by Pamela Bliss. I should probably try to see more local art on these work trips this year.
