Out of Spacepod's 200+ episodes, four have been guests who have been pitched by publicists. I respect publicists who are good at their jobs. But some of these pitches are bananapants.

Okay I get a lot of emails from publicists about people who would be "great guests on your show" but this guest (and list of potential topics) really takes the cake. Lol imagine a Spacepod episode about:

1. Natural Ingredients roles and their benefits for overall health and growth in both children and adults.
2. Holistic Hair Care: Holistic approaches to hair care, focusing on diet, exercise, and stress management to promote hair health and overall well-being.

The Astronomical Data Analysis Software & Systems XXXIII conference cracked me up when asking me to describe my internet connection:
Asteroid friends- did they announce where ACM 2026 was going to be?
"Encouragement to the young is far more important than awards to the old."- Bill McKinnon, on receiving the Kuiper Prize. #DPS2023
This summer I worked on improving an asteroid-finding algorithm that was written by a former student. I'm excited that other people are interested in the work!

Blinding the Watchman

Internet constellations could thwart killer asteroid discovery algorithms.

Did anyone else read #TheSix by Loren Grush? I want to talk to someone about it!
Thrilled that Quanzhi Ye won the DPS Urey Prize! Here's him on the show in 2017:

I made him try a "Midnight Mint Mocha Frappucino" from Starbucks. He was a good sport about it. Spacepod, the only show that gets prize winning scientists to try silly drinks.

Omg! I got a Fulbright Scholar award, and next year I'll be visiting Denmark! Get ready for some Danish Spacepod!
In this upcoming episode I decided to ask a very serious scientist who studies Uranus' moons what he thought about Uranus jokes and I have no regrets.
