It's time to break this rogue court.
It is issuing decisions that are a parody of judicial reasoning and which constitute a radical power grab--a judicial coup.
Whether by enlargement or an express legislative limitation of the court's review powers, it's time to end this antidemocratic attack on our society.
I'm just fucking done. Past done.
And yeah--I know nothing can happen until/unless we retake the House and extend control of the Senate beyond the Manchinema roadblock.

"No one stops to think that maybe if we weren’t working overtime & extra shifts to defend bad things done by bad people we might have found someone even more talented. No one stops to think of the cascading impact of outsiders watching what doesn’t happen to the (alleged) offenders...that they will likely get away with it & be allowed to continue to both work & trespass, & it tells people who might want to create art in that orbit that they have to be careful."

Today on my way home from @WFMU I had to make a u-turn and drive about 10 minutes out of my way because a freight train was crossing. This happens to me maybe 4 or 5 times a month, and sometimes the train is just sitting there not moving. This crossing is in an industrial area, mostly warehouses and thankfully no schools or homes nearby. This @ProPublica story (h/t @bergmayer) is chilling and outrageous.

When crossings are blocked for hours, kids risk their lives to get to school by crawling through trains that could start at any moment. Ambulances and fire trucks can’t get through. The problem has existed for decades. But it’s getting worse.
This is the town next to mine. "Disgrace" is far too kind.

“Instead of a sentient ‘alien intelligence,’ what we’re facing is an evil that arose well before ChatGPT. It’s the concentration of power and wealth, the growth-at-any-cost ethic, the rationalizing of all sorts of predation and violence, even genocide. AI systems are just an outgrowth of a more ambient, insidious threat that is enmeshed and entangled in our daily lives.”
