@axwax right? it really made the situation so much more pleasant, even enjoyable! Eventually I realized the record player would use less power so we switched to records, which was also great.
Made it through the bomb cyclone and 2 days of no power/internet/cel service, grateful that our trees stayed upright! Had enough spare battery power to get the reel to reel tape machine going for some musical distraction

Liz [BlitzCityDIY]Very excited about this project. It’s a #circuitpython video synth with audio reactivity. I’m using a PDM mic for FFT and video output is DVI via HSTX on a feather rp2350. There’s 3 different scenes but the party parrot is my favorite. The circles in the corner react to overall amplitude and the parrot reacts to frequency bands for snare and bass drum. Rotary encoders affect color but hard to demo that with my phone
