Really been enjoying my watch through of Star Trek TOS so far. I thought the bit where Kirk looked straight down the camera and said “American military intervention in Vietnam, as it was in Korea, is an unfortunate necessity. The risk of escalating ongoing conflict and killing hundreds of thousands of innocents is outweighed by the need to maintain the regional balance of power and stop the Soviet Union’s spreading sphere of influence.” was kinda weird though.
