as is you can already "do" music without any skills by playing an existing recording. and that is a useful possibility. but does anyone think of it as creation? no? then why is making some machine randomly scramble up millions of existing tracks in a way that frankly sounds incoherent and shit any different? you can also already synthesize instruments using a computer. people use it creatively. but is loading an existing midi file into the program and playing it back repeatedly any interesting, realistically? no? man, almost seems like the reason why people learn to play instruments is the process itself and not just the result and creation without thought and effort is meaningless.
