Hi, this is Sophia, a.k.a. Mystina or The Waifu. I've known Sofia for over half my life, and I've been blessed enough to be her partner for the last ten years. In all that time, I never imagined myself having to write a post like this.
As you may know by now, Sofia passed away on August 5th. I don't know how much detail is appropriate, suffice to say that she had ongoing health problems that combined into something much worse than anyone had suspected. The doctors assured me that she didn't suffer, and at least I was able to be there with her in those final moments. There's some solace in that, I suppose.
I know this announcement should have been done sooner. There's so much that should have been done before now, but it's taken me this long just to find the strength to get out of bed, or do anything at all.
Sofia was the love of my life. She was everything to me. Always patient, gentle and kind. Always willing to give of herself to improve someone else's day. More talented than she herself ever believed, and more beloved than she ever knew. We shared so much, and there was so much more that I wanted to give her. But even though our time together was cut short, I am beyond grateful for what we did have. She's engraved herself on my heart, and I'll carry her with me for the rest of my days, until we meet again...
If you knew her, if you loved her, please keep her memory alive. Let her light guide you in the path of your own lives, and spread the joy and love she brought you to others. And... don't put things off for tomorrow. There's never as much time as you think.
