@zvinj

welcome to toki pona 😄

@KNTRO
ni li lon
ken la, tenpo kama la, mi ku
lipu ku li musi lukin

@rogbeer

some key points:
• don't forget your grammar particles: li for predicates; e for direct objects.
• adjectives come after the noun (i.e. modifiers follow the head word). it looks like you had that correct with jan esun, but the same rule applies to soweli seme (which animal).
• for phrase "so many cute animals around!" you might consider more literal wording: soweli suwi mute li lon.

this is good practice. keep it up! 🙂

@rogbeer

soweli li toki mu (or just soweli li mu)
soweli li mute a
?
mi olin e soweli

fyi, olin is a strong word associated with compassion, love, and affection. "like" is more often framed as such: soweli li pona tawa mi

jan esun li alasa e soweli
soweli li mute a
sina olin e soweli seme?
sina olin ala olin e akesi?

an alternative for the last two lines
soweli seme li pona tawa sina?
akesi li pona ala pona tawa sina?

cute is suwi as in soweli suwi

Sonja is merely giving folks a heads-up that she will be including her own meaning for those words in the future. all of those sounds have been deemed words by segments of the community in some form, but that doesn't make them untouchable. i've coined a word which got overshadowed by later coinage of the same spelling. it happens. and Sonja certainly has every right to do the same imo.
