Just told my 10yo daughter about Dianne Feinstein. She had tears in her eyes. And then she did the Wakanda pose and said "#Feinkanda forever" -- which is the sort of pop culture cross-over that I can celebrate.

Having just watched Gutsick Gibbon's latest video, I can confidently say that it's easily the most compelling and informative video I have seen in ages. If you want a glimpse into the awe-inspiring history of life on this planet (plus a couple of points about climate change) I cannot recommend this video more.

i think if we want a better open source culture we have to accept that for small single-dev projects "no, i don't feel like doing this, patches welcome" is a valid response to a nontrivial issue, and "no, I don't feel like doing this, and I also don't want the maintenance burden so i won't even accept patches" is as well
