Hey All,
Relaunch on FireFish so new profile, new posts. etc.. as always I am a simple person who chases every interest as they appear before me and my focus on them while fleeting tends to provide a wide scope of different knowledge and an expert in nothing.

I like to cook, love to try new dishes and experiment in how to make them myself. I like to play around with servers, networking and programming depending on the random interest takes me at that time.

@xrobau to be honest, any large multi network outage I always just assume configuration issues at the BGP level. no matter the statement of the provider.

but it would be nice if they are transparent on who broke it and how long it took them to identify and start resolving it. compared to start and stop times and so sad it happens

Hmm, What services do you pay for and what services do you use but don't pay.

I am thinking I like to use open source and sometimes they help me live my life but recent videos and talks online have made me consider should I be donating. cause I pay for services I have to and use them less than those I don't pay for and maybe I should assign a value to the projects I can't live without instead of just blindly consuming. #idlethoughts #opensource #donation

@trunkfriends nice so is it pulling all users on the serve or just people you follow specifically?

ie. can I enter a popular person on fediverses username as my own and pull the user list of all the people they follow? as a security concern mostly.

@feditips @astro_ray @rocketrobin what about if you become your own SSO setting up a Oauth/SAML what have you server that you use to go passwordless with as many servers as you can, so you only have you to login with for each server/service.

giving you security and SSO but also decentralized?

Computer is setup, I am now running #nixos and in the process of making this my everything machine.

Setup 2 ZFS pools, m2.ssd in striped and the other mirrored as 2 spinning disks giving me 7tb of storage with 1tb for the OS using default fs
