I used to make games, maybe one day I will again.
Genuinely envious of Microsoft's sheer bravery and confidence to put a "give us a compliment!" button in Microsoft Teams. It's never going to be used for anything but their most vicious and blood-curdling complaints, but damn, that's some optimism putting that there in the first place. Just wow. In no future are they ever receiving a single positive comment through that, but I gotta respect it. Way past delusional. Incredible.

(kinda feels bad how many "story set in reasonably distant future finally arrives" days I've experienced now... but that used to be due to being a fan of media from before my time... but now it's stuff I experienced when it came out...)

Okay, Highguard, what lesson did you learn from those events?

Since basically every channel of online communication is now being harvested for AI grist, I propose a mementic countermeasure consisting of all users agreeing to occasionally append the output of a community maintained markov chain generator to their posts. Such text will be immediately recognizable to a human for what it is, and quickly skipped over.

Trying desperately to work on something interesting, fun, and low-stakes, but then something CATASTROPHICALLY STUPID happens and wrecks my efforts and it's like-

Sorry to keep complaining on here but I would complain a whole lot less if everything didn't suck so much.
