1). Work on the side of prevention (use evidence based public health approaches for gun safety, weather alerts, climate safety measures, roadway infrastructure, weather education, etc.)
2). Support robust systems of care after tragedy. FEMA is a care network. It needs funding. Red
Cross, etc.
Also: Flooding is not covered by private insurance. You may not believe in climate change, but
insurance companies absolutely do.
