Yea. The article didn’t mention that the car has over 97,000 miles on it. The battery + electric drive train warranty ends at 100,000 miles, and the ICCU units in those cars are a ticking time bomb. I don’t think that I would pay the $14,000 asking price.

Not to say that the article is wrong about EV depreciation, but the example given isn’t great.

The one thing that they are probably confusing is that with iOS 18, Apple elected to add an “Apple Intelligence“ UI to the Siri command. So, for people who don’t follow Apple closely might assume that this is the new “Apple Intelligence” based Siri and not the same old Siri that’s been a problem for years.

Also, the tariffs don’t apply to items packed on boats by midnight eastern time. Those products have until May 27 to arrive in the US and not be taxed.

So, it’s possible Apple flew a bunch of phones over and stuffed a bunch of boats full of iPhones. Granted, they’d need a place to store them and distribute them.

I live in San Diego and follow the local public transportation scene and this is the first I’ve heard of these new cars. It’s not even featured on their news page! gonctd.com/about-nctd/newsroom/
I think that Lucid is pretty close to 1000v. I think they are up to 924v. I think the Rivian Charging Network only supports up to 900v, so you couldn’t charge a lucid to 100%.

If you’ve been looking for adding WiFi 7 to your wireless network, but didn’t want to pay for the Eero Max 7, then there is some good news. Eero announced two new systems: Eero 7 Pro - WiFi 7, 3x3 antennas and 5Gbps Ethernet ports. $300/each Eero 7 — WiFi 7, 2x2 antennas and 2.5Gbps Ethernet ports. $170/each. https://press.aboutamazon.com/2025/2/eero-celebrates-a-decade-of-innovation-with-all-new-wi-fi-7-products [https://press.aboutamazon.com/2025/2/eero-celebrates-a-decade-of-innovation-with-all-new-wi-fi-7-products] I’m still rocking the WiFi 5 “pros”. I’m tempted to upgrade, but I might be too cheap to pull the trigger right now. 🙂

Las Vegas has a monorail but it only connects a handful of casinos on the strip. There had been proposals to connect it to Downtown Vegas and the airport, but I don’t think that there is any money set aside to make it happen.

The internet (ie bandwidth) is cheap, but running servers, providing documentation and tech support all costs a decent amount of money.

However, treating an API as a profit center is a joke. These are literally companies developing software that makes the experience of owning a Tesla better. Making things unaffordable for those companies is putting short term profits over long term success of your product

Can you elaborate a bit more? If I create a passkey on passkeys.io on my Mac, then store the passkey in a password manager like Bitwarden, I can log into that site on my phone. I was kinda under the impression that Bitwarden stored the private key on their servers, so if their site gets hacked, then the attacker has access to my passkey.io account?

Thanks for posting this. I keep hoping that on one of these releases that we’ll get a separate ssid for iot devices.
