- in which the authors find that 60% of the 20 top-grossing films each year over a 10 year span (2008-2017; N=200) depict torture, including 45% of PG and 65% of PG-13 rated films; and that instrumental torture (torture used to obtain a specific outcome other than punishment) was depicted as effective 73% of the time.

Ostern ist das erste verlängerte Wochenende des Jahres mit dem Potenzial auf gutes Wetter: ideale Bedingungen für einen Kurztrip für alle, die weder Eier verstecken noch suchen müssen. Und so bin ich sicher, dass auch dieses Wochenende zwischen Frankfurt und München oder Berlin und Hamburg wieder Frauen an Vierern sitzen, quatschen und dabei die ein oder andere Flasche köpfen. Es könnte sogar sein, dass sie dabei laut lachen. Ich hoffe, es ist so. Ladys, lasst krachen! Freun­d*in­nen­schaft ist gesund.

Und wer auch immer ihr seid, was auch immer ihr tut: Ich sehe euch da sitzen und höre den Korken knallen in der Sekunde, in der der Zug den Bahnhof verlässt, und denke mir: Das habt ihr euch verdient. Wer so froh ist, wo wegzukommen, musste dringend los. Wer eine Fahrt mit der Deutschen Bahn als Grund zum Feiern sieht, hatte es bitter nötig.
