I write and talk about movies and TV. Rotten Tomatoes Approved. Rather tall. He/Him/His.

I have seen a bunch of takes today that Peter Parker is broke and shouldn’t be using a 1200 phone, consider:
- It’s 2028 or so in the MCU, so that phone is old
- Most “broke” people still use pricey phones, and carriers subsidize the cost.
- I don’t know why online film fans refuse to be happy
Thanks, I hate it: Val Kilmer to be resurrected with AI.
Now watching, on Blu-ray.

Good news everyone! Remember when Amazon added ads to prime and also a 3$/month fee if you didn’t want to see them? Well, now that’s going to be called Prime Ultra, cost 5$ a month, AND INCLUDE 4K STREAMING.

Amazon had more than $20 billion in profit last quarter, by the way.

Sometimes I get depressed thinking about the state of online movie/tv journalism and so seeing this completely bonkers job posting from Giant Freakin’ Robot (I went and found it because I didn’t believe it could be real) validates that at least because WTF.

This is just a remind that not liking something that happened in a show or film doesn’t make it bad writing.

It concerning how many people seem to think they are the same thing.

I have two (and 1/2) main thoughts about the MacBook Neo.

1. Apple is going to sell a metric ton of them

2. If they can do colours for this they could be doing more colours for the Airs and Pros, too, and goddamn it they should.

2b. Kinda surprised they didn’t match the iMac colour lineup.

I wrote about Sweetness, a new Canadian film about a young woman who, uh, gets a chance to meet the pop star she’s obsessed with.

Yeah that’s it.

Link in the first reply.

A part of me has always wanted an RV and I’m pretty sure that Spaceballs has something to do with that.
This is probably the most frustrating movie I’ve seen in a minute not so much because I didn’t like it but because I can see the better movie it could have been in almost every scene.
