Twitter was still an invaluable weather alert resource for me, despite having left Twitter a while back. Now with the current restriction of cutting off all public posts, I am curious how the National Weather Service both overall and at regional offices, are going to deal with the fact that they are essentially posting in a non-public forum now. I am lucky enough that some of the ones I follow have set up bots to cross post to Mastadon, but Twitter was certainly a great go-to resource for up-to-the-minute weather updates from my regional office and the national office.

A very right-wing Mastadon server when I first started searching for anyone else on Mastadon in my state (US South East). Scary, scary place.
Indeed, people tend to forget that the left-right meet isn't a half circle, but a full circle. You lean far enough one way on either side and you start wandering into the other side.
