But Google Auth also has a “got a new phone” style migration option (the others may too). Just make sure to secure the backup options
If you’re using SMS for Twitter and don’t want to pay for Blue, Authenticator apps are the solve for you (tm)
(Hearing MS does have that)
don’t read this as a defense of ‘pay for SMS,’ (because lol) just “while we’re on the subject”
Authenticator apps are better than SMS because if you’re the target, SIM swapping defeats SMS
That said if SMS is the only option, it’s better to have it than not
Auth apps can be a pain in the ass - if you use Twitch to stream, you’re probably already using Authy so youve got a leg up. Google Authenticator is totally fine too. Microsoft Authenticator seems really polished.
My sister fell and broke two ribs, and she also gassed her hand so badly she needed 15 stitches! Well, she was gushing blood on the street waiting for help and a guy goes up and says:
“Are you okay? You’re so pretty.”
Like we joke around but, no. No, don’t shoot your shot sometimes.

I know there’s easier solutions* and such but waiting for a phone call and this was an ok “Hello World” for iOS shortcuts
*but please feel free to let me know about your multipost solutions
** also if cohost had an app and supported shortcuts that’d be nice too
“What do you mean it’s too windy for surfing lessons! I’m a busy 44 year old man playing Kingdom Hearts Recoded and trying to surf!
You are ruining my business trip, my midlife crisis AND my heart, sir!”
- things I am mentally saying on the phone with a surfing school
