Replacing Bathtub Faucet - Pipe Recessed in Wall - Lemmy Today

The shower diverter in our spare bathroom doesn’t really work. The faucet is also gross and I want to change it. I took the faucet off the wall and the pipe doesn’t match what I’m seeing in videos. My faucet doesn’t quite match the ones at Home Depot. Most instructions I’m seeing show the pipe coming out of the wall: [https://lemmy.today/pictrs/image/3344df78-68af-44c4-8a27-1d927546c0e0.png] My pipe is recessed in the wall: [https://lemmy.today/pictrs/image/502c89bc-521e-4632-b657-312d38d42533.jpeg] My faucet has a piece of pipe extending out of it: [https://lemmy.today/pictrs/image/faafa507-993a-4c26-b8e1-8a15bf0165bd.jpeg] All the faucets I see in stores or online don’t have any pipe on them. They’re expecting the pipe to be sticking out of the wall. [https://lemmy.today/pictrs/image/6d76f6ea-b238-44f1-b341-0bb42584aab7.png] Do I need to find a piece of pipe to make an adapter? Or is there a type of faucet I should be looking at that has this connection?

Ergodox arrived. Yikes! - Lemmy Today

Top is Das Pro 4, bottom is ErgoDox EZ Love the customization and quickly learning to love the split keyboard. The non-staggered keys are going to take me a long time to get used to. I’m struggling with the bottom row and outer-edge keys the most. Still happy with it but it’s going to be a while before I can use it at work or for anything useful.

You Don't Need to Keep Every Electronic Box! - Lemmy Today

Just cleaned out mt garage, closet, and attic. No clue why I kept every single box of anything electronic/tech based in the last ten years. I just tossed boxes for phones I haven’t had in years, old CPU and heat sync boxes, boxes for 100mbps nics, old modems I don’t have anymore. I’ve never needed any of these and have brought them with me through too many house moves.

Origin Update Issue Error 20:403 - Lemmy Today

Wanted to return to Dragon Age Origins. Getting 20:403 error. Found resolution elsewhere. Posting here. –Make sure .net framework 3.5 and 4.8 is installed and turned on. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/install/dotnet-35-windows [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/install/dotnet-35-windows]) – (https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework [https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework]) Reinstalling still wasn’t working for me. Using this installer worked (virustotal.com [http://virustotal.com] reporting clean): https://taskinoz.com/downloads/OriginSetup-10.5.119.52718.exe [https://taskinoz.com/downloads/OriginSetup-10.5.119.52718.exe]

Started Playing 'The Talos Principle' - Lemmy Today

It’s been in my library for years and I didn’t know much about it. Randomly started playing it a few days ago and I’ve been having a blast solving the puzzles. It’s been a while since a game has really made me want to finish it and see what is at the ending. I’m at the end now working on the final (I think) puzzle. (this is also my first ever lemmy post)
