As I understand recent news, the US immigration authorities are going to use records of taxes paid to find people to deport.
This doesn't seem to be productive or beneficial to society, but I suppose that's not the point.

Gosh, if only there were some kind of existing mechanism for restricting peoples rights to copy the work of others that all AI companies could respect so that others don't profit from their investment in creativity.

If AI is so fucking brilliant at helping developers write better code faster, how come the western AI companies' systems need so much more hardware?
I'll answer my own question: because AI can only help you write tiny, well-defined functionality, and has no concept of the entire architecture of an application.
