I'm starting to think my next work MacBook Pro will need 64GB of RAM so it can run all of the local MCP servers necessary for the assorted tools I have to use for development.

We laid off another 4 engineers today. Also, our annual 'bonus' is 3/4 what it normally would be due to missed sales/operational goals in the US.

All of this can be traced back directly to the election of the idiot we have in the White House now. I'm not exaggerating here: between tariffs and the ending of EV incentives, we're now doing far worse than just one year ago.

Reading EV news these days is incredibly depressing... "BYD just announced a 3-row SUV with 600 miles of range, charges 10-80% in 9 minutes, and has a mini-fridge in the second row, and will cost $58K". Meanwhile, "Hyundai is discontinuing the IONIQ 6 in the US, and Kia is ending the EV6 GT"

Moving is done and because everything went so smoothly, I have no chores to do before I go back home this afternoon.

It's too cold here to get out, so I'm spending time rewriting my first stabs of the SwiftUI version of Get iPlayer Automator.
