@squaregoldfish i've only broken the camera slightly further than it already was, and it already couldn't take pictures because the shutter was just constantly open. although i haven't put the amplifier back together yet so i can still mess that up
but yeah fair point
why do i have to disassemble everything i own? computers, laptops, an analog camera, pens when i'm bored in class, and now an amplifier.
@SmudgeTheInsultCat fa
or "tree" if you're hungarian
@BingsPingsDings yeah, when they didn't know what it was i explained what it looks like and they still didn't know
love your profile pic btw
@fkfd change the semi to the cybertruck so he can finally realize that driving a 3 ton tank with the acceleration of a dragster with what is practically a blade in the front is a rather bad idea
how do people not know what a 9 volt battery is? i asked in two supermarkets today and not only did neither of them sell any, they didn't even know what it was.
@thj i can recommend the works of Andy Weir. Specifically, The Martian or Project Hail Mary. They're science fiction, but the author actually does the math and there are only a handful of fiction elements, and he builds on those with actual logic, math and reasoning.
and going back to formula e, if somebody wants an electric open wheel racing series, we already have one. i'm fine with hybrids to some extent, but it doesn't seem like they want to stop shifting the bias towards the electric part. you can make it more eco-friendly by using bio-fuels, or by developing hydrogen engines. i believe yamaha already have a hydrogen engine that works really similarly to a conventional internal combustion engine, why not go there if you don't want petrol?
at this rate #f1 will be formula e on street circuits in a couple years. #fia has decided to remove the Barcelona grand prix from the calendar starting 2026 and instead race on the streets of Madrid. i honestly don't understand the appeal of street circuits. sure, Monaco has a lot of history with formula 1, but it just doesn't work. the streets are too narrow, the asphalt is garbage in most places (Singapore is really bouncy, and Vegas has a problem with manhole covers), and you don't push as hard when you have a wall right next to you instead of a runoff zone or a gravel trap.
