@lauraehall literally watched it tonight and yeah I see what you mean. I think for me what is missing is any sense of competency from Tess and Joel but Joel especially. The museum part in the game is so action packed and Joel is supposed to have 20 years of kicking ass as experience that I keep expecting him to do more but they're really pulling back on that which makes the video game-esque parts feel all the more out of place.
@lauraehall I haven't watched the second episode yet (prolly tonight) but I know one thing I was missing from the show was the amount of hours spent just crouch-walkimg through buildings 🤣
More seriously, I wonder if they're putting some of those game mechanic-y parts for the viewers who did play the games, as a little nod.
