One thing I miss from Windows is the Meta+. key combo to pop up the emoji selector, and then clicking to insert.

I don’t like how it currently just puts it in the clipboard an expects me to manually paste it in, interrupting my flow when I have something more important in my clipboard.

Is the Avatar a job? If so, it would probably have some perks, aside from a perpetual target on your back
Mine died literally 1 week ago, and I’ve been trying to figure out what to do ever since. I used it for basic notifications (SMS/Calls), my morning alarm, and for calendar/medication reminders. I’d already decided I wouldn’t get another fitbit, but having it was central to my routines. I’m tossing up between an Amazfit which seems to be based in NL which would be a plus (in addition to Gadgetbridge support), but I’ve also just been given an (older) iPhone, so a refurbished Apple Watch has some appeal. It comes at the same time my S10+ has decided to slowly grow a spicy pillow, and as much as I would like to get a 2nd hand Pixel(for Graphene), I just don’t have money for one. I’m not a huge Apple fan, but I dislike them less than I dislike Google at this point.
S-Tier badass

CLI requires remembering commands though, or developing patience with your up arrow key.

And if you want help, is it “/h” or “/?” or “-h” or “—help” or “—h” or just “help”

I can’t remember that I need to pee, let alone what commands do what, save for my up arrow.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m in the terminal constantly, but I’ll pick a GUI over CLI every time if it’s an option.

I use Firefox/LibreWolf as my primary browser, but for things that don’t work with Gecko or for PWAs, I use Brave.

Is WebKit still a thing outside MacOS/iOS? I know it’s roots are tied to KDE but I haven’t seen much in ages

With RAM prices going up, and probably other key components too? I doubt there will be an improvement.

I haven’t been able to afford new hardware for a few years, even secondhand has gone up in price. There was a brief blip where recent PCs that couldn’t support Win11 dropped in price (on the second hand market), but it seems like those have gone up too as sellers realised people don’t want to use Win 11, or don’t care about it.

Aren’t a lot of migraines stress induced, or otherwise affected by environment?

I’m just an idiot on the internet but this feels very much like “well, doing what would actually help isn’t viable, but we can gaslight your body into thinking it’s not a problem?”

I’ve been putting off switching because of everything I have setup for work, but next week I have a new laptop arriving and I’ll be wiping the pre-installed  windows and chucking probably fedora on it.

Once I have that first one done, I’ll be able to start moving all my others. I have a bunch of Hyper-V VMs that I need to migrate which has been the main cause of my hesitation.

I got my copy in a Kelloggs cereal box. Those were simpler times
