The "company decides they should send this alert" is everything that's wrong about software these days.
Software should serve the user, not the company. Interrupting a user's day because the company decided they should send an alert is user-hostile.

@rjj @rjj @atpfm I don't fly often enough to carry a subscription perpetually. So every time I fly, I subscribe to Weekly, and cancel right away. Essentially paying for a single round trip.
But then I get a pushy notification that my subscription is about to expire, and I'm gonna lose access to Flighty Pro features 😬
