I love the prose in the dialog of this game.
I think Final Fantasy Tactics tried doing something similar (at least the PSP version), and it came off phony and pretentious to me, but I really like it here.

We've got a new contender for a more obnoxious background merchant than "Mutton! Fresh mutton!" from Tales of Xillia.
"Buy from me and you'll agree this bread is the bee's knees!"
And I'd just like to say that this "you have to agree to these terms in order to play" bullshit needs to fucking stop.
I already paid for the game. This shit needs to be made available BEFORE money is exchanged.
Finished with the Atelier Sophie 2 platinum. I really enjoyed it, but I think I'm about done with Koei Tecmo games unless they start doing localized dubbing again. (Maybe an exception if there's an actual NEW Blue Reflection.)
What makes the Atelier games so satisfying to me is that they can be excruciatingly difficult if you just try and plow through them, but if you take the time to learn alchemy and synthesize good equipment, you can break the game wide open.
But then again, taking a 40-hour game and stretching it out to 140 hours with material gathering and item crafting isn't everyone's cup of tea.
