@hollywoodreporter Why are you using AI slop?

@maurice I just discovered Zavala via your RSS feed. It is exactly the kind of outliner I want. No frills. When outlining pioneer David Dunham's life-changing but now ancient Opal 1.3 (2019) finally dies, I can replace it with Zavala.

Request: Opal has one non-frill feature: Formatting outline items with checkboxes, or (outline-style, nested) numbering. The former allows my outliner to act as a do-list/checklist; the latter allows me to count items easily (I have (1/2)

@underlap Programmers take 17 years to reinvent XML, good job, but at least we've got squiggly brackets and no schema
@stephenrobles @tantramar In five years the tech will be so polluted by greed and lies that a substantial portion of the population will refuse to use video at all
@stephenrobles The amazing is that we already have a tool that creates images from text *directly in the mind.* It's called reading
@davidakin How convenient

@brewsterkahle @internetarchive

What does the Internet Archive use Dymo label makers for???

@kissane @FeralRobots ESPECIALLY The Peripheral, which is great (even if the follow-on, Agency, is horrid).
@Techmeme So the selling point is that Apple's AI will do the journal....
@oconnell @FediFollows Who needs Bellingcat when we have David Ignatius? They're a spook cutout, not really journalists.
