@Serenus it is weird. Both phones have 6gb ram and on A15 bionic. Like even when typing in a text field the keyboard lagged and stuttered. Not super bad but noticable enough to be annoying for me. On the Pixel not a single stutter when typing this out.

@Serenus Apollo, Twitter, Instagram, Firefox, Ivory, Messenger, Google Apps and a bunch of others. No games.

Some of these apps just take a while (perceived) to open up.

Also weirdly the Google apps run the worst. Another thing I noticed was if I switch an app then switch back then I lose my position in the app. This isn't true for all of them. Im guessing it ran out of memory and flushed cache for that app. Anyhow enjoying the Pixel for now

Switched from the iphone midrange -- Iphone 14 plus -- to the android midrange -- Google's pixel 7a -- and it's not even close. Pixel 7a beats the iphone in almost everything.
Starting with price: $500 vs $800 for $300 less you get MORE phone.
The screen is very beautiful vivid and responsive w 90 hz refresh rate vs 60 for the iphone.
The Tensor G2 just breezes through almost every task I've thrown at it. The A15 (?) on the iphone regularly stutters and lags.

@mistersql I swear to god some of the PMs and mgmt on our team have ZERO idea of how things ship and build and try to apply a product-based mindset to get things out the door.

I honestly don’t mind working off hours now and then as long as I don’t have to deal with unrealistic expectations of delivery.

Like dude asks me to make a list of changes 4:45p and at 9:30a the next day has the gall to ask “so how’s the status of that ticket I assigned to you yesterday”

Sorry for the rant.

Why does it feel so liberating when I drop off the 5 yo and 2 yo in the morning lol?

I wake up and I’m like fkkk gotta get these two ready, feed them, make their hair.

Then I drop them off to preschool and I’m like hell yeah, it’s a new day!!
