FF9: Freya, the GOAT (ha), but still not Tifa
Just saw an article about how women are "leaving men behind" in education and this time it was paywalled so I can't be sure, but every time I've seen this before and dug into the data, the actual story has been "the number of men getting XYZ education is either stable or rising, but the number of women has increased significantly."
Always bizarre to see it phrased as "an education deficit," as if women can't POSSIBLY be present and thriving unless they're taking something away from men.
"Oh the percentage of XYZ who are women is rising, men are being pushed out of XYZ"
Cool story bro and the absolute number of XYZ is doing what? The percentage of men who are XYZ (as opposed to the percentage of XYZ who are men) is doing what?
So men have exactly the same access they always have and the shift in percentages is entirely explained by there being more XYZ overall and more women with access? Curious, curious.
