In one of those meetings, some employees were summoned to a conference room in the San Francisco office while others called in via videoconference. As the 5 p.m. deadline passed, some who had called in began hanging up, seemingly having decided to leave, even as Mr. Musk continued speaking, two people familiar with the meeting said.

Remember: in those final 2 years of the Trump Administration, Nancy Pelosi was THE bulwark protecting America against an out-of-control MAGA government.

She held democracy together. We’re forever in her debt.

Republicans need to come up with a plan that moves America forward. People are tired of Republicans’ backward looking behavior which is how their big red wave fizzled out. The main reason the House is being lead by Republicans is because of gerrymandered districts in states where they drew themselves wins and malfeasance by conservatives on the Supreme Court.

We’ve all just worked our hardest on a big election, defied all odds, and (for now) saved our democracy. Don’t let any Republican megalomaniacs suck the air out of the room.

Share our wins. Share Democratic successes. Make sure everyone understands how important what we did is.

And then get back to making more wins happen.

Republicans just took control of the House because of partisan and racial gerrymandering. Here's how

Republicans gained control of the U.S. House on Wednesday after having been called the winners of November’s elections in at least 218 districts, ending four years of Democratic majorities. While Democrats will still hold the presidency and Senate, the...

Biggest loser of the midterm elections? The media.

The news media took the faulty assumption that Republicans would enjoy a red wave and plugged in explanations for the imagined outcome.

All GOP talked about was inflation & gas prices b4 the midterms. Now that they have majority in the House, their #1 priority is Hunter Biden. No proposals to combat inflation, no proposals to lower gas prices; nothing to help the people whatsoever; just Hunter Biden. They will spend the next 2 years doing all they can to crash the economy & make President Biden look bad, all while being a mouthpiece for Trump’s grievances & hate. So sick of current #uspolitics & #republicanparty specifically.

Mike Pence is an example of toxic Christianity. We should have freedom of religion, yes, but we must also ensure freedom *from* religion. Your religious freedoms don’t give you the right to deny freedoms or civic participation to others. Period.
@atomicpoet Indeed! I would expect media companies to set up instances for their brands, too. A BBC or CNN instance would enable them to direct interest to ask their outlets and at once authenticate their journalists and associated celebs

@greenback Members of the media are already joining en masse, and some are already starting up instances (ex: journa.host).

If there's any profession that desperately needs to replace Big Social it's journalists: the entire future of their profession is at stake.
