A trans-exclusionary radical feminist is found shot six times by a man on the run. Suspicion falls on South Horton’s duck-call society, angry that the decline of the red squirrel population from squirrel pox might threaten the town’s largely potpourri-based economy.
Dave, a pigeon enthusiast, is found bled to death from twin puncture wounds in the neck from a carving fork. Suspicion falls on Ford Florey’s chapter of the Ayn Rand society, angry that massive union mobilisation might threaten a rare plant found on the cricket pitch.
A corduroy-wearing academic is found quilted to death. Suspicion falls on Midsomer Abbas’s manager of a local tiger sanctuary, angry that lewd messages daubed in pigs blood inside a Tory peer’s house might threaten 16 more murders.

‪“I know that I now belong to a small group of privileged people who get to tell stories for a living, stories that are heard and seen and digested by a world that for so long has tasted only one thing. A #NotAllMen mansplainer is found rolled up in a rug and then trampled by horses. Suspicion falls on Haddington’s circus troupe, angry that fake news might threaten a huge annual event in Midsomer that we’re nonetheless only hearing about for the first time.

Recently I've been thinking a lot about startup culture, and its values. I don't want to be associated with it at all any more — I want to be the founder of an indie software business, not a startup. I care more about users than million-dollar valuations. And I want more people to feel the same way, choosing small-scale, human values over investment and growth. I tried to articulate this and wrote a thing about it: http://joshsharp.com.au/blog/fewer-startups-more-indies.html

I think today’s #planepics turned out pretty well. Sydney > Melbourne.
I’d say good morning but I’m sick and I’ve been up since 3:30am after a bad night’s sleep. #NeedCoffee
