Well, I pulled the trigger on my tesla replacement, a Ford "Mustang" Mach E.
Not quite as fast, not quite as good handling, not quite as much range. But close, and it has a lot less white supremacy.
I was laid off by google last January, though I was still employed through March. Since then I've been taking a break and exploring. Built a homelab and traveled to Europe.
Previously at Google I managed the team that made smart phone call experiences for Android, now branded collectively as Call Assist. I'm very proud of the fact that our features were keynoted in almost every major Pixel phone announcement.
I live in San Jose with my wife Michele. Our two daughters are in college.

My other holiday giveaway #recipe is for Chili Crisp. I love Sohla El-Waylly's version, though I use chinese peppers and cheat using Maesri pre-made fried shallots and garlic instead of making it fresh. I use a lot of shallots, more than the recipe calls for, to make up for the lack of shallot flavored oil.
OK, my first #recipe for Mastodon, a variation on the #granola from Eleven Madison Park in Manhattan as published in the NYT, then improved it over time.
I made 9 of these batches to hand out for the holidays. Each batch is about a gallon, so that is quite a lot.
