Another new animation I've been working on. I wanted a way to visualise the idea of PB reading your data from other apps and then turning them into data. I'd have preferred to use the real app icons but it feels legally shaky, so I went with a 'packages' metaphor
It's very 'work in progress', but it's to go in PB's new onboarding flow, where after getting healthkit access it shows the app getting your workouts and crunching them, leading to an 'aha moment' on the next screen that uses your real data
I'm slowly getting better at design! Here's a before/after pic of an improvement I made yesterday to the 'empty state’ of @personalbest's upcoming goal tracking feature

Had a great idea for a quick app I could build using Spotify's API, only to find that since I last worked with it they'll only grant access to apps that are already launched and have >250K MAUs.
In other words, they no longer want indies building apps to enrich their platform.
Fuck you Spotify and your enshittification, hope the ICE recruitment ads were worth it
