Racism has no place in Europe!
Democracy just took a hit. Far-right extremists launched a hate campaign to silence an anti-racism researcher. They succeeded in cancelling her conference at the European Parliament, and in dictating what Europe can - and cannot - discuss. [1] This isn’t just a personal attack against researcher Maboula Soumahoro [2]; it’s a calculated effort to silence anyone fighting racism. These extremists are sending a chilling message: hatred and intimidation can shape Europe’s decisions. If we do nothing, they'll only grow stronger and gain more control over the stories that shape Europe. This is a fight for the soul of Europe. Researchers, activists and Members of the European Parliament are already mobilising against these attacks and demanding that Soumahoro’s conference be rescheduled. [3] But they need public pressure from people across Europe to make their demands impossible to ignore. If enough citizens like you act, we can show that Europe is about inclusion, not hate, and force the conference back on the agenda.
